NPC TO ENHANCE THE PARTNERSHIP OF STATE AND NON-STATE ACTORS FOR THE REALIZATION OF MW 2063
National Planning Commission (NPC) Public Relations and Communications Manager Thom Khanje says in the year 2024, NPC will ensure that there is a collaboration between organizations and government in project implementation for the realization of Agenda 2063.
The remarks have been made as Yetu FM’s end-of-year review on the implementation of the first-year implementation plan of the vision of the commission.
Khanje described the implementation of some projects as too slow to bring about meaningful change in the country due to a lack of partnership between organizations and the government.
“For instance, some development in the country has not been completed because there was no collaboration between organization and government,” he said.
Khanje further said the delays of some critical projects in the country have contributed to slow economic growth and productivity.
However, Khanje said their organization will ensure that Malawi has long-term development plans to enhance the economic and social development of the country
Speaking on the challenges they have faced in the year 2023 Khanje stressed that lack of funding has prevented them from delivering their duties but he was quick to say that they are lobbying with other stakeholders to source more funding.
